Dasepo Naughty Girls

Dasepo Naughty Girls

A movie featuring an entire class getting STD's from a teacher—and each other—sounds like it would be a grim fable or a shocking attempt at humor. Dasepo Naughty Girls (based on a Korean web comic) manages to avoid being either by incorporating some of both. Add in some very entertaining and cute song & dance numbers and you get a film that is sometimes poignant, frequently hilarious, and hugely enjoyable. Dasepo Naughty Girls is a wickedly funny high school romp. If you're going to watch one high school musical, I strongly recommend this one.

Musa

Musa

A violent historic epic, Musa is the tale of a Korean diplomatic envoy to China that is exiled and left for dead in the desert. Left to their own devices they must find their way back from China across the desert and steppelands. Things become more complicated when the hotheaded Korean general decides to rescue a Chinese princess from some Mongolian warriors. The initial rescue (which results in a bloody battle) may be a success, but it still leaves the Koreans and Chinese stranded in the middle of nowhere—and pursued by a horde of very angry Mongolians.

Kick the Moon

Kick the Moon Poster

Kick the Moon is a bit of an oddball Korean film—it doesn't fit neatly into a specific genre. It's very funny in many parts but not a comedy; it has some romance but it isn't a romance; it has a lot of fighting but isn't exactly an action movie.

At heart the movie is about two men and their friendship and rivalry, from their days in high school until their present days as adults.
