Quirky, obscure and partly wonky low budget shocker about a creepy run down carnival owned by 'Mr Blood' (Jerome Dempsey) and operated by his family of inbred weirdos, amputees, zombies and misfit killers. Possibly filmed by a drunken cameraman, everything is oddly framed as it unveils a strange, supernatural tale that has various locals wander into the fair, never to leave.
Choke on yer chips as a family get snuffed in the tunnel of love. See a sap get decapitated on the rickety rollercoaster. See one visitor eaten alive. See Herve Villechaise (Seizure -74) in a small part......... See a girl (Janine Carazo) get chased and tormented by the carny folks (who watch silent movies in their own underground cinema). See shades of Carnival Of Souls (62).
Ultimately, the movie is battered silly by its own sense of dreamy sub-text and pauses far too frequently to examine its own belly ring. But despite that and the low tech failings, it's a fine, ketchup soaked one-off pile of whacky tat (with a kooky, haunted score) that'll gladly accept well deserved cheers and brandy dipped adoration from fans who revel in strange, semi-trippy visual gems.
