A Norwegian parody of Kill Bill that also spoofs numerous other films including Deliverance, Titanic, and Star Wars. Kill Buljo is as low-brow as it is low-budget. Prepare for silly action and raunchy jokes; someone will get chopped in half, cows will be molested, and Jompa Tormann will.... Kill Buljo!
I'll be up front and say that the sort of humor that is Kill Buljo's mainstay isn't really my cup of tea. I don't think I'd be far off the mark comparing it to the likes of Scary Movie. It's got jokes about guys peeing for a long time, jokes about guys having sex with cows, Deliverance man-rape jokes, a guy named Blow Job... you get the point.
Having said that, I was surprised that I didn't hate Kill Buljo; I even found some of the other jokes funny. The movie also looks pretty good (in some places) for a film that was made with very little money. The slick opening credits and the fantastic snowmobile chase scene stand out in my mind. It also has a great soundtrack.
Stig Frode Henriksen is strangely likable as the stupid but determined Lapplander Jompa Tormann, who is hellbent on revenge after being gunned down at his own engagement party. Most of the rest of the cast don't fare quite as well, but Natasha Angel Dahle is certainly cute enough as Jompa's love interest.
During his quest for vengeance Jompa will encounter some bumbling cops, Buljo's numerous henchman—who have names like Crazy Beibifeit and Bud Light—a hired gun named Lara Kofta, and lots and lots of bad jokes. He'll seek out training from the old master that has unfortunately been named Blow Job in an attempt to make you laugh. Perhaps it will work. In the end, he'll battle his way through all of his enemies to get his revenge, Norwegian parody-style.
Odds are you're not going to stumble across Kill Buljo by accident (unless you live in Norway), and I can't recommend going out of your way to find it unless you're a big fan of movies that specialize in raunchy humor. If you like those kinds of movies you might get a kick out of Kill Buljo.

Question...
Where in the hell do you find these things? I'm green with envy. ;)
It's mostly about getting to
It's mostly about getting to know a wide variety of people who are into weird movies. I've found out about some cool stuff from a couple of particularly cool people on Flixster, some from your site (the awesome Weng Weng, for instance!), and people like dresden, who's a walking encyclopedia of weird, trashy stuff.
I hear the Weistein's company has bought the rights to Kill Buljo. Weak.
Thans for your visits
Hey, thanks for the drop ins at the cafe. According to Google Analytics I am getting between 50 and 75 hits a day (the site is less than 2 months old, so maybe not too bad) but I hardly ever get comments. We should not let that bother us, as per my post on all that, but I guess it does a little. I worked really hard on that blasted Giant Claw post, even put on a sound bite I made in Ulead Video Editor, and not one single comment. haha... I am gonna call my mo and tell her to leave comments!
Anyway, this movie looks right down my alley and if I see it here I will nab it.
Did get a copy of Branded to Kill with Eng Subs and dabbled today with re Captcha but disabled it, as it looked like it would drive commentors away. I have two spam guard deals on my Wordpress site and them seem okay. Your version is more user friendly. Mine was really intimidating looking, running through AJAX.
I think Kill Buljo would be
I think Kill Buljo would be wildly popular if there were a big market for people who were into low-brow humor and subtitled movies. While I do know some people that applies to, the two don't usually go together.
reCAPTCHA is nice because it serves a second purpose in helping to digitize books that are being archived, but I agree that it can potentially cut down on comments. I am testing out Mollom now. It only prompts with CAPTCHA if the initial comment looks like spam.
I find that people comment if they feel strongly about something, or if they're sort of a part of your online community. There are a lot of sites I browse and don't comment on because I don't have anything useful to say, so it doesn't bother me when folks don't comment. Hopefully they learned about a cool movie or two while stopping by.
